On 22 February, Geno called. He is in Boise for a while before returning to Arizona. We know he and Debra – we missed you Debbie!!! – both like lamb and I had some lamb shanks in the freezer, so it would only be right to have the shanks for dinner. Braised Lamb Shanks or Osso Bucco is an awesome dinner. Throw in some fresh home made Sourdough Bread and a NV Bonair Frankensauv Columbia Valley (WA) Red Table Wine and we have a dinner. But, it was also George Washington’s Birthday, so we had to have a nice fresh Cherry Pie. Here are some photos accompanied by the Taiko Drums. Enjoy.

Hi Bob and Robin…This is Geno…and I just wanted to thank you for the exquisite Osso Bucco. When I came to visit Boise on my own (without Debra) for this past week I thought I would treat myself with a meal from one of Boise's best restarants. After having your Osso Bucco dinner I basically gave up…I knew I had just eaten the best meal that I could find in the valley. For those of us who love lamb, there is simply no better way to prepare a lamb shank than with the slow roasted comfort food "Osso Bucco" style. For those foodies out there…Osso Bucco is definately on the "must make" list if you haven't already. It's much easier than you think and the slow roasting cast iron does much of the magic…along with the chef of course. The bread…the pie…the wine…and especially the company and conversation…all of it was "done to perfection". Thanks again.Geno
